Dear Parents and Community Members,

In school year 2013-2014 Alliance Charter Academy achieved an overall rating of Level 4.  Level 4 means that ACA is meeting all of the state targets in reading, mathematics, and graduation.  ACA has earned 83.9% as a weighted average.

Academic Highlights:

The school attained a level 5 for growth in reading.

The school attained a level  5 for growth in math.

The school attained a level 4 for graduation under a five-year cohort model.  This indicator is impacted by our commitment to helping students gain college credits through our ACE program, which supports high school students while attending a Community College.  This path typically takes one year longer to complete.

While we are pleased with our accomplishments, we still have work to do, especially in our math performance. The school moved from 58.4% meeting or exceeding in math to 68.2%.  This growth pattern is a move in a positive direction, but we will be providing more support to students, families, and teachers in order for all of our students to master important skills in this area.

Thank you,
Principal Lara Fabrycki

OVERALL STATE RATING

HOW ARE STUDENTS AT THIS SCHOOL PERFORMING COMPARED TO THOSE AT OTHER SCHOOLS?

The overall state rating is intended to summarize this school's particular successes and challenges. It is based on a combination of up to five factors. Three of these factors come from standardized test scores in reading and math: student achievement, student growth, and the growth of underserved subgroups. High schools are also rated on the overall graduation rate for the school and the graduation rates of underserved subgroups. Please be aware that this rating is based mainly on high-stakes testing and accordingly, represents a limited view of student performance. Other aspects of this report card are designed to put this rating in the proper context.

Compared to all schools statewide in 2013-14, this school is rated as Level 4.
