Dear Parents and Community Members,
Keeping you informed about our school’s progress is an important goal for us. We are pleased to send you this year’s school report card.
On Pages 1 and 2, you can see how our school compares with others statewide. Since scores and rankings don’t always tell the whole story, we hope you will also look at Page 3 to learn about the programs and experiences available to our students and families.
We use this information to learn what programs are working and what areas need greater attention. This year, we are implementing new reading curriculum that is aligned to the Common Core State Standards and is designed to help increase our reading performance. Our primary goal is to provide a well-rounded education that prepares our students for middle school, high school graduation and beyond.
Parents play a critical role in a child’s education. You can help by reading with your child daily, attending parent-teacher conferences, and staying actively involved in your child’s education. We look forward to our continued partnership to support your child.
Thank you,
Principal April Albers

OVERALL STATE RATING
HOW ARE STUDENTS AT THIS SCHOOL PERFORMING COMPARED TO THOSE AT OTHER SCHOOLS?
The overall state rating is intended to summarize this school's particular successes and challenges. It is based on a combination of up to five factors. Three of these factors come from standardized test scores in reading and math: student achievement, student growth, and the growth of underserved subgroups. Please be aware that this rating is based mainly on high-stakes testing and accordingly, represents a limited view of student performance. Other aspects of this report card are designed to put this rating in the proper context.
Compared to all schools statewide in 2013-14, this school is rated as Level 4.
Compared to elementary schools with similar student demographics in 2013-14, this school’s rating is above average.
This school participated in the Smarter Balanced field test. Interpret the overall school rating and the like-school comparison rating with caution.
